REALITY TV - Linda Robson - Third Evictee From The Jungle

Friday 23rd November 10:20pm - I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here
Linda Robson leaves the camp
Actress, Linda Robson is the third celebrity to leave "I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here" and its not surprising, although I'd rather Eric have left instead.  Linda kind of got sidelined among her camp mates and hadn't really had a chance to shine for viewers.

Linda seemed pleased to leave the jungle, during her interview with Ant and Dec her main concern was seeing her grandaughter.  She wants boxer, David Hayes to win, stating that he's a "lovely guy" who looks after everyone in camp.

Can David win the crown for King of the Jungle?  I predict Hugo or Ashley to leave next.  It should be Eric but everyone loves a baddie in the mix so he might just make the finale.

UK SOAPS - Hollyoaks Minibus Crash Leaves Repercussions

Hollyoaks Channel 4 weekdays 6:30pm is back as The Top of the Soaps for me after the explosive “wedding crashers” storyline last week. Four deaths, one critical patient, an unwanted pregnancy revealed and a whole bag of drama awaits those mourning the deceased.

Rot in hell Maddie
So the wicked witch bitch Maddie finally got her comeuppance. A burning piece of flying debris in her face is more than the evil, manipulative bully deserved but I didn't want her to die. I wanted her to suffer for the misery she's inflicted on Esther and leaving poor Neil to burn alive. Thankfully, her best friend Tilly discovered her nastiness before Maddie died but the rest of her sheep – Sinead, Ruby and George are deep in mourning of their heroine.

Widow McQueen

How much more can poor Jacqui take?
Watching Jacqui McQueen falling apart over the dirty rat, Rhys wasn't easy viewing. She loved him with all her cold heart and now joins sisters Carmel and Mercedes as a widow McQueen. Either way, Rhys was going to leave her after being ordered to leave the village by Tony and Myra and had the crash not occurred, cheating Cindy was going to take off with him. I can't believe that Tony is sticking with the munchkin minx, despite knowing of her affair with Rhys. Is he that desperate to be married? I mean how many times has Tony got wed now? Die-hard fans want Tony and Jacqui back together. Its in the soap fate, they belong together.

Back to Rhys, tonight's episode (Monday 19th November), signs are showing that he could possibly be the father of Sinead's baby. Hollyoaks never tie off things simply (except with their black characters) so there could be more heartbreak for Jacqui to come.

Jono dies in Ruby's arms
Will Ruby Button grow up after the loss of Jono? What lies in store for newlyweds Ste and Doug? Ste ain't gonna die, I'll put money on it and fans desperately want him and Brendan to get back together. Many were disappointed that Doug wasn't killed in the crash.

Why was Cindy's daughter Holly brought back when she barely spoke two words and had little interaction with her mother before swanning off screen again, and don't even get me started on how much she's grown. Will she be back to stir up Cindy's stewing pot? Keep your fingers crossed.

I'm loving the 'Oaks and I sincerely hope the team will scoop some awards next year at the Soap Awards. Powerful acting, brilliant writing, the perfect ingredients to a Successful Soap.

REALITY TV - X-Factor and Strictly Come Dancing Roundup (w/e 18th November 2012)

Strictly Come Dancing may be winning the rating wars, but after this weekend (18th November 2012, X-Factor is the show that everyone's talking about.

Denise Van Outen headed the leaderboard
with her Egyptian performance
Strictly came live from Wembley Arena this weekend and the usual favourites, Denise Van Outen, Lisa Riley, Dani Harmer and Kimberley Walsh all dazzled on the dance floor, with Denise bagging the first 10 points of the series from three of the judges. Nicky Byrne also made a great effort this week but fell into the bottom two with Daybreak TV reporter, Richard Arnold. Richard rightly left the competition, but for a man who'd never danced before and with the Daybreak celebrities history (Kate Garraway, Fiona Phillips), he did himself proud.

I'm still struggling to understand why Victoria Pendleton is still in the competition. She can't dance! Simple. However, looking at the way the public vote in these TV programmes (see X-Factor below), its clear to see people are voting for personalities and TV entertainment, rather than the talent.

Lisa Riley after her heavy landing
Loving Lisa Riley in Strictly, but that splits landing at the end of her performance on Saturday evening, was neither pleasant or ladylike. I was shocked she got back up.

Ella performed "You're The One That I Want"
Over to the X-Factor, Guilty Pleasures was the theme this weekend. The stand out performers were Ella Henderson, Jahmene Douglas and James Arthur, real talented singers with bags of potential, yet Ella and James ended up in the bottom two. Viewers and judges were equally shocked. I was surprised with James being in the bottom two but had a feeling Ella was in danger and the fault laid in the hands of her mentor, Tulisa.

Did the public opinion of Tulisa cost Ella Henderson votes?
Tulisa has been getting a load of bad press recently, the latest being romantically involved with a footballer with a pregnant ex. This possibly turned viewers off voting for her last remaining act, Ella, the only girl left in the competition. Also, since the live shows have started, Tulisa has been encouraging people to keep the most talentless act, Rylan Clark, in the competition because he's an “amazing performer”, although he can't sing. He can't dance very well either in my opinion but if you give a dog a bone... As a mentor and judge, Tulisa can't expect people to support her acts if she's praising the rival. Ella, a fabulous singer for a young 16 year old, doesn't get the props and flamboyance on stage that Rylan has every week. She doesn't need it, her voice is her weapon but if you go by Tulisa's judgement, people want to be entertained with wackiness and wildness, it doesn't matter whether they are good singers or not. Since she knows the magic formula, why didn't she jazz up Ella's performances? Viewers patience is running thin with Tulisa and I'll be very shocked if she's on the judging panel next year.
Rylan Clark safely through to another week
Viewers aren't voting for the talent because they know the good singers will gain a recording career on the back off the show and winning The X-Factor hasn't always proved a huge success. Think back to Joe McElderry and Matt McArdle amongst others. For years its become apparent that the show is more about the judges than the contestants and its own X-Factorness has well passed its sell-by-date. You don't believe me? Take a look at the passion and production put into X-Factor USA and compare the two.

Rylan and Christopher Maloney should not be on the stage, better singers have left. Christopher, I should say, does have a good voice but the people voting for him will not buy his records. Simon Cowell seriously needs to revamp the show before it becomes a joke – if it hasn't already – so that viewers will enjoy watching it for the talent and not for the sake of the judges shenanigans.

Who'll suffer the fate of the public next week? Also, Louis Walsh opted to send home James last night. Was that his own choice or is his head stuck so far up Tulisa's bum that he voted to help out a friend? Something smells fishy.

Agree with my opinion or strongly disagree...  Comments greatly appreciated or have your say @lady6x on Twitter.

Strictly Come Dancing 2012 - Victoria Needs To Get On Her Bike And Off The Dance Floor

The competition in Strictly Come Dancing 2012 BBC 1 (Saturday and Sunday) is hotting up now. There's no clear favourite front runner in the celebrity ballroom series but the ladies are running the show. The likes of Dani Harmer (aka Tracy Beaker), Denise Van Outen, Kimberley Walsh and Lisa Riley have shown some nifty footwork.

Victoria and Brendan 10th November
I have to say this...and I know I'll probably get slated but Victoria Pendleton has to go. She's got no rhythm and looks awkward unless pro-dancer, Brendan Cole is holding her up. Its a public sin to criticise any UK Olympian in Britain, but the track cyclist should stay on her bike, and off the dance floor. Fingers crossed she's out tomorrow (11th November) because its uncomfortable viewing.

UK Soap Bitches

Two Soap characters have been really bugging me at the moment. The first is Maddie Morrison (Scarlett Bowman) from Hollyoaks, Channel 4 mon-fri 6:30pm, the second, Katie Macey (Sammie Winward) from Emmerdale, ITV1 mon-fri 7pm, thurs 7pm and 8pm.

Malicious Maddie
Maddie, along with her cackling bum lickers, Ruby and Sinead, has been a total bitch to poor Esther Bloom. The bullying displayed is in its vilest form... internet trolling, fake friend identity, turning people against Esther with malicious lies and more. Scarlett plays the character so well you just want to slap her.
Katty Katie
Bitch number two, bloody Katie 'newlywed' Macey! Ever since the equestrian businesswoman hooked up with Declan Macey her character has become so full of herself, its hard to believe she was once the loveable Katie. In tonight's episode (Wednesday 7th November), I was proud of mousey Gennie giving Katie a verbal slap down, it was long overdue. There she was ranting about Chas's affairs and scolding Gennie for knowing beforehand and not telling her. I was like “Hello!”. Is this the same Katie that slept with her brother-in-law and gave a baby away in a shady surrogacy deal on a moral high horse?

This month sees both soaps with big storylines that will have an impact on these bitches. Next week in Hollyoaks there will be a crash involving the student characters. I'm really hoping Maddie suffers in some way because I can't stand her manipulating any more. Later in the month, in Emmerdale, Katie will fall down a mineshaft which will threaten her life. Her character won't die but at least she'll be brought down to earth, the cheeky mare.

Celebrity Lookalikes - Lily Savage's Love Child

Celebrity Lookalike this week is the fabulous Mr Paul O'Grady (aka Lily Savage)
He's A Scouser - Paul O'Grady
And Lily's 'secret love child', UK X-Factor contestant, Christopher Maloney

Fellow Liverpudlian Christopher Maloney
They're both from Liverpool, tall and have piercing eyes.  Chris is a little more weightier than Paul but the similarities cannot be denied.  If the singing career doesn't work out, Christopher could always sign up to play the comedian in a biography.

Lily Savage aka Paul O'Grady
Lily would be so proud.

X-Factor 2012 Kye Sones Reality Celebrity Lookalike

For the last two weekends I've been trying to work out who ITV1's X Factor's Kye Sones (below) reminds me of.  Then it clicked this evening...
Kye Sones
Cast your minds back to Big Brother 2010, series 10 and the wacky rich kid contestant, Frederick "Freddie" Fisher, better known as half-wit.  They seriously look alike. Don't you agree?

Gordon Behind Bars Channel 4, 9pm, Tuesdays

Gordon Behind Bars, Channel 4, Tuesdays 9pm.
Four part documentary.

When it comes to celebrity chefs, Gordon Ramsey (Gordon Ram Jam) is up there with the best of them. His TV shows, Hells Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmare's, as well as his foul mouthed ranting, propelled his career in the United States. Gordon Behind Bars seen him back in the UK, at London's Brixton prison with the hope of getting a working kitchen up and running within six months in order to teach inmates catering skills to help them seek employment after completing their sentences.

MISSED THE EPISODE?  CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO WATCH ON 4OD

22 male prisoners, with a history of crimes ranging from burglary to violent assault, were under Gordon's watch and not many of them had any basic cooking skills. After a task of baking simple fairy cakes the prisoners had the job of preparing five different meals for their 800 fellow inmates. Despite bickering with each other and thieving from the kitchen, the guys managed to pull the task off with praise from their inmates (who are called customers by the prison kitchen staff). However, Gordon will have to eliminate 10 of them as he only wants 12 prisoners in the kitchen by the six month deadline.

I totally loved this first episode and will be tuning in again next week. An insight to the prison community is shown and its nice to see Ram Jam's vulnerable side. He can't flip on these guys the way how he does the contestants in Hell's Kitchen, as he risks blowing the scheme, as well as his life. It'll be interesting to see how he manages to keep his cool over the next three shows as he has some pretty testing male attitudes to deal with.

Big Brother 2012 Catchup. Day 5, June 10th

Big Brother 2012 Catch Up, Day 5, Channel 5, 10th June 2012

Well its been tantrums and tears in the Big Brother house this weekend and believe it or not its all over food. In last nights edition, Chris flipped with Luke S over performing well in tasks (that they haven't been set yet) in order to get the food in. Tonight all the girls were getting in flap over bloody sausages with Lil' Lauren caught in the crossfire.

Sausagegate

Some housemates had one sausage for their bangers and mash meal, others however, decided that they wanted two meaning the sausages weren't shared equally. Deana openly admitted having two, whilst sly Arron kept schtum about his extra portions. Lauren passed a comment about people being inconsiderate. Later in the evening Sheivonne, Sara and Ashleigh were in the toilets slagging Lauren off with Ashleigh being pissed that Lil' Lauren would be a threat to her chance off getting her claws into Luke S. Lydia was earwigging outside the door, then Lil' Lauren came in and confronted the wicked witches where everything turned to the sausages where Lauren was accused of singling out Deana for taking two. Lauren went crying to Daddy Bear Adam, who told the girls to basically take a chill pill.

Nominations

I'm not happy that Big Brother is allowing housemates to talk openly about nominations. Its spoiled the fun of when housemates slip up and the punishments they used to receive. Bad Big Brother.

Luke S, Arron and Conor want to be in the final together and are plotting thick. Lydia overheard their plan and has now formed her own alleys with Lauren, Deana and Adam to ploy their own little nomination plot.

Observations

The housemates haven't even been in the house for a week and the bedroom is a bloody tip.

I can't understand how Luke A is a chef and barely in the kitchen. But if housemates are gonna go mental over a sausage, maybe the heat would be too much for him to stand.

Has anyone noticed how camera aware Chris is? (GET HIM OUT)

Will Adam get the straighteners out when his curtain bob gets too frizzy?

If Deana thought Victoria had evil eyes, isn't she bothered by Rebecca's psycho eyes?

And on the subject of Rebecca, does anybody else think she resembles Mary from Coronation Street?

Big Brother 2012 Day 3 Eviction night Friday June 8th Channel 5 10pm

Well I had to watch tonights edition on Channel 5 +1 due to my daughter watching bloody Justin Bieber. So this edition will be short and sweet.

The live show had a different vibe tonight being filmed indoors.  Hopefully the weather will be better next week to bring that crowd feel back.

The whole house now knows that Luke A is a transexual. Everybody accepts him and no-one's made any snide comments to anyone else about it. Very PC house this year, they know the Big Brother rules well. Lydia rustled up some salad for the housemates. Poor Adam, he's a big guy, salad won't do him much good.

A game of truth or dare brought some fun and snogging. Benedict snogged Victoria and I missed the other one but my co-blogger Joelle tells me it was Lauren. Ashleigh took her trousers off and treated the housemates to a booty shake.

Roll forward to the eviction. Yesterday I was certain Lydia would be out of the door but Victoria did herself no favours with the Diva attitude, ripping her clothes off for the camera and saying that most of her fellow housemates were idiots. Goodbye Vicky, we'll forget your name by week 3. Joelle fell for the tears. I didn't.

Rebecca makes a splash entrance
Wildcard housemate Rebecca won the place in the house, running past the housemates without introducing herself and jumping into the pool. The only housemate that bothered to follow her was Caroline, who may have found herself a new pal. Although they've only been in the house three days, Rebecca's arrival will put a spin in the mix. Nominations will take place next week, that's the next stage of fun for us viewers.

See yah tomorrow night guys...

Big Brother 2012 Day 2, Channel 5

Day 2 in the Big Brother house June 7th 2012  Channel 5 10pm

Well the housemates are getting to know each other better in the house and all seems merry, bar a few blips.
Loving the Diary Room chair
Self conscious Luke A decided to tell the housemates, a few at a time that he was born female. Once he'd got his secret of his chest he felt accepted and relaxed but still hasn't found the courage to tell Luke S, Arron and Conor yet. Hope he tells them soon and moves on from the subject.

Big Friendly Giant, Adam revealed his past as a criminal too, the look on Luke A and Lydia's face was a treat.

Deana feared she wasn't gelling with anyone and told the girls who showered her with compliments to put her at ease. Deana comes across as the kind of girl who likes a lot of attention which could wear both herself and fellow housemates down in the coming weeks. I honestly can't see her lasting long in the house.

Chris filled the fun factor with his garden workout and dancing antics. He's spreading himself around the house and mixing things which could backfire on him badly if he's not being genuine. In his audition he claimed to be two-faced so that side will probably come out more in the Diary Room in days to come.

Loving

Sheivonne ; Her impressions of fellow housemates in the Diary Room showed her fun side and housemates were pretty impressed, bar Lydia (See Hating)

Luke S ; He comes across arrogant but is showing signs of being a fun housemate. He likes the older ladies and told Big Brother in the Diary Room that Sara's his kind of crush. He's been weighing up Victoria to the other young guys. Would he go there? Also with Sara it's the typical male attitude... go for the prettiest first and if you don't get nowhere there's plenty more to choose from

Hating

Lydia ; The girl needs to get over herself. She's already pissed off being up for eviction and was not a happy bunny when she saw Sheivonne's impression of her “...I'm not in here for the fame”. “I've come in here to be myself...I'm not in it for the fame...I've worked with loads of famous people and my boyfriends a celebrity...” she wailed. Andy Scott Lee, a celebrity??? In his prime he was Z list and now he's at “who cares” status. If this girl don't stop whimpering it'll be goodie bye tomorrow night and good riddance

More tomorrow night. Lydia's my favourite to go but I'm thinking people might not be feeling Victoria. She's hot but her personality makes her seem more 50 than 41.

Big Brother 2012 Day 1

June 6th 2012 Big Brother 2012 Channel 5, 10pm

Day 1 in the Big Brother house: Deana's having second thoughts about the nominations she made, Conor, Victoria and Lydia. Conor told Deana not to worry but revealed his fears at being evicted this Friday in the Diary Room. Victoria asked Deana if she really had “evil eyes”, Deana spun her a line about eye contact made whilst she had to make her decision so Victoria said she's not bothered. Lydia seems to have taken the news the hardest and is struggling to connect with anyone in the house, bar Deana, who she's trying to suss if she's genuine or not. Phew!

Little groups are forming quickly but will change as personalities are revealed more. Sara, Arron and Ashleigh didn't waste any time getting into the hot tub. Luke S and Adam are competing for the Alpha Male role, in a polite way, for now. Bitching has already started with Chris and Scott sharing opinions of other housemates with poor Luke A who's more concerned with how people will react when he reveals that he used to be a she and will Sara, who he met during auditions, reveal his secret before he decides to.

I'M LOVING

Chris, the squeaky voiced bailiff's bitching and wanting to be in everyone's business makes him a perfect housemate for viewers. Especially in these early days when we're waiting for people to let down their guards.

Sheivonne; I was unsure if she'd be annoying or funny when she went in the house but I'm starting to think she could be a cool housemate now if she finds the right sidekick.

Luke A; I'm hoping his “secret” doesn't become more prominent than he is as he seems to be a cool, good spirited person.

I'M HATING

Bloody Benedict going on about his porn and teaching career. I can see him showing some deep issues quite soon.

Scott; I can't take to this guy. He comes across as creepy and slightly fake. Wish Deana had picked him.

Ashleigh; She's seriously going to grate me and talking about “Golden Showers” on the first night in a house full of strangers on National TV is not a good thing.
Wildcard housemates from left Anthony, Bhavesh and Rebecca

Three wildcard housemates are ready and waiting to exchange places with whichever housemate is evicted on Friday. Viewers can vote, via Twitter at channel5.com/bbwildcard for either self-confessed weirdo Anthony Burns, Rebecca Hannon or “stirrer”, Bhavesh Sharma to go in the house. They all seem a bit wacko to me and not worthy of being a housemate more than Conor, Victoria or Lydia.

Tune in to Donz On The Box tomorrow for more Housetalk

Big Brother 2012 launch night

BLOG ALERT : Housemates pictures will be added/updated as soon as I get em.

Big Brother 2012 launch night 5th June, kicked off on Channel 5 this evening with a mega 16 housemates. First housemate in, Deana, was given immunity from Friday nights eviction so long as she nominated three fellow housemates. And she had to nominate in front of them.

Deana, a pretty Asian girl is the company of a wild and wacky bunch. Here's my first impressions, and as always with Big Brother, they usually change as the weeks go by.

Deana

HM 1 Deana : Pretty, came across bolshy and upfront in audition footage but I see a sneaky side to her which will involve backstabbing and manipulation to get what she wants. My side-kick, Joelle, who is helping me edit this write up liked her at first but didn't like the way she came across throughout the programme.

HM 2 Arron : Manchester model claims to be a player but isn't all that hot or cool enough to carry it off. A little bit too prissy for my liking. Will watch him and see. Joelle thinks he's a knob.

HM 3 Caroline : Self-confessed lazy bones has big unruly hair and will probably come across as totally annoying or funny. Joelle likes her.

HM 4 Shievonne : 28 year old Londoner is a little self-obsessed and loud. May get on with Caroline. May get on other HM's nerves.

HM 5 Conor : Irish Jack-The-Lad came across cocky on audition footage but throughout the show seemed like a funny housemate who can get on with anyone, yet is able to stand up for himself. Will either be great pals with Arron or enemies. Conor was nominated by Deana at the end of the show. Her reason; he didn't make the effort to talk to her.

HM 6 Lauren : Farmer's daughter Lauren is well educated and obviously in there for the TOTTIE factor. Seems likely to get up to pool and bedroom antics to keep viewers watching.

HM 7 Luke A : Transexual Luke is a 31 year old chef who is married. A lot of stories to tell and as a chef will be great in the kitchen until housemates decide they want to eat/cook different things from the others. Seems confident within himself

Adam

HM 8 Adam : Brit Born, American reared, former prisoner turned good guy seems genuine and will probably want to take the fatherly role in the house which normally means boring viewing and bossy to housemates.  Has 14 sisters so should know how to handle any bitching between female housemates.

Sarah

HM 9 Sarah : Gorgeous TOTTIE model from Edinburgh. Definitely a fave with the guys and I caught Luke A checking her out with a BIG grin on his face. I thought Deana may have picked her for nomination, but she escaped.

HM 10 Scott : Me and Joelle don't like this self-confessed snob, gay student as he appeared to snub Adam and Shievonne on his entrance in the house. Will have to keep my eyes on him.

HM 11 Ashleigh : Loopy Ashley likes to swear and annoyed me and Joelle so much from the audition footage we didn't pay her any attention.

HM 12 Luke S : Clever young entrepreneur comes across cocky but he insists he's not.

HM 13 Lydia : 25 year old dancer/model Lydia is the girlfriend of Andy Scott Lee (Michelle Heaton's ex) so she would have had a good briefing on how to portray herself on reality TV. Such a shame she's been nominated for eviction by Deana who said they didn't talk enough, which Lydia refuted. Lydia was not a happy bunny at the end of the show.

HM 14 Benedict : 32 year old stripper loves porn and will obviously be keen to show his body off in the house and get some action. He's not all that hot and may make the girls flesh crawl with too much sex talk.

HM 15 Chris : Chubby, squeaky voiced Chris seems to be a eager to please guy and will think he's funny when he's not. He's single but I don't think he'll find love in the house but may please viewers...Or not.

HM 16 Victoria : 41 year old Victoria is hot for her age but putting just one housemate in her age group is a little bit cruel. She may be ostracised by the other girls and may come across desperate to viewers if she joins in the fun. Poor Victoria may be last in, first out as Deana nominated her for having evil eyes.

Big Brother is wicked making Deana pick 3 housemates to face the public vote as she has to spend 3 nights with them and faces heavy backlash and possibly being up herself next nominations, especially if Lydia stays in. She could have opted out of the decision and faced the public vote herself, which is what a coward like me would've done. If she's as straight up as she claims she'll handle herself well but something tells me there's gonna be tears and slanging matches over the next few days.

Roll on tomorrows show. I can't wait.

We've missed you Big Brother.
